Ever get the feeling that time flies? Put yourself on an assault bike and pedal ALL OUT for 60 seconds and I promise you it will slow your world right down! Here we’ve got big boy @seanfisher_digging very deep to total 51cal in one minute of gruelling work. This is the most impressive I’ve witnessed on an air assault bike. Would love to hear if anyone has gotten more.
A solid standard to aim for is 50% of your body weight in calories. In the second video we’ve got a collection of all out efforts that have been put in by some of our crew over the last couple of months. The main reasons we like to throw this into a session: 1. Provides a fantastic fat burning effect post strength training session; 2. Gives an idea of anaerobic ability; 3. Tells you a lot about what kind of ticker you have; 4. Shows you what you’re really capable of if you give your 100% best effort; 5. Possibly most importantly, gets the gym atmosphere pumping. Nothing gets others more fired up then when a training partner gives their absolute all!! We won’t use the MAX 60 second effort very often. We will throw it in maybe once a month or once a training cycle and then use it to program interval work. Also, don’t try this one if you’re out of shape or just starting a training program! Start with some much shorter intervals, interspersed with plenty of rest e.g. 8 seconds flat out, 52 seconds off x 5 or so efforts. #one22 #allout
